Man In EFCC Net Over N3.29bn Fraud (Photos)

A certain Dr. Kunle Adeshola, who presented himself as
Director, Corporate and Management Service, Amazon
Incorporated, and issued a forged draft to the tune of
N3.29bn in a phony land deal, has been apprehended by
the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
DAILY POST gathered that the self-acclaimed Director
had entered into a contract with Atkan Services Nigeria
Limited for the purchase of 50 units of flats in Abuja.
It will be recalled that the said Dr. Kunle had been
arrested and prosecuted in October, 2013 for parading
himself as an a$$istant Police Commissioner and
defrauding officials of government agencies under the
guise of conducting phantom investigations.
The EFCC anti-graft spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said:
“The director had presented a bank draft no 081758 in
the sum of $19,930,900 purportedly drawn by Deutsche
Bank in favour of Infinity Trust Savings and Loans
Limited.
“But the draft was returned unpaid after Stanbic IBTC
Bank discovered that it was forged and reported the
fraud to the Central Bank of Nigeria.
“The apex bank consequently reported the matter to the
EFCC,” he added.
Wilson further noted that the suspect would be charged
to court over the latest crime.
